It's been 23 years since the R.E.M. classic cut `It's The End Of The World As We Know it' (and I feel fine) - time for an entire generation to grow up with the lyrics and for a society to internalize the possibilities. And, while `Endtimers' have been around seemingly forever - now, in 2010 - and, more than ever, more and more humans have the feeling that `the good old days' are gone forever or soon will be. Or that big changes are coming.
As you see in the sidebar to the left - I have set up a S.H.T.F. `Index' to reflect this websites viewpoint on the various threats to our way of modern life (in America and the world). That index, and my viewpoint, is that the concerns of real Economic Collapse leads the range of possibilities that could end our society's normalcy. And, many of the links that will appear on this website will address what appears to be the mounting concerns with the very financial system that has been built by our so-called `political leaders'.
That said, all of the other items in the index will also receive coverage too; because, who knows what shit will hit the fan first. It should make for some interesting reading and I hope that you will bookmark this site and return frequently.

While mankind has been predicting its own end nearly since the beginning of society - perhaps never has the feeling of such an occurence seemed more probable. This blog will dig into the various threats - real or perceived - that seem to be pointing to the collapse of the modern human structure.
